Why you should stop obsessing over your ex to get him back

Ok, so I want to share a personal (and utterly MORTIFYING) story with you today.

A few years ago, I was dating this guy…let’s call him David (no, that’s not his real name) and we had just gotten back together after breaking up for a few months.

We had that re-kindled excitement for each other, the space had helped us grow closer and we felt just like we did when we had first started dating. You know, when you both look like the heart-eyed emoji

BUT one day I got a call from David and OUT OF F*CKING NOWHERE, he’s like “I can’t believe I ever trusted you, this is over”

I was extremely confused, hurt and the wheels were spinning in my head…wtf is he talking about? Why can’t he trust me anymore??

Well, he elaborated on the situation and revealed that he had heard something I’d said to his friend about another guy I had hung out with during our breakup…I responded:

WE WERE ON A BREAK! (Friends anyone?)

David, obviously did not like my answer, so he quickly hung up the phone in a burst of anger.

Knowing I had done nothing “wrong” (nothing happened with the other guy anyway), I lost it! Tears flooded down my face. I could barely catch my breath. This was not a cute sob…no, it was a full on uuuuuggglyy cry.

And like any young woman would do, I called my boyfriend back.

No answer.

So, I called again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again….ok, you get the point.

I probably called him back 20 times over an hour before he picked up…

“I was on a call with a client” he said.

But that wasn’t good enough for me. I flipped out on him, then began to beg and plead and convince him that it was all a lie (which most of it was).

He didn’t believe me.

And we ended the conversation.

Have you ever done this? Where you were sooo obsessed with someone loving you, that you made a complete fool of yourself??

At that moment, I felt so embarrassed by my behavior. Why did I call him that many times? Why was I so intent on MAKING him believe me?

So, I took a step back and realized that I AM THE FUCKING PRIZE! And I promised myself that I would never again obsess or try to force someone to want to be with me.

…and guess what?

After a few days I got a call back from David, apologizing to me for what had happened! He had confirmed that the rumor was NOT true…

But at that point, I wasn’t going to accept that kind of behavior. And then I decided I didn’t want to be with someone who couldn’t trust me.

And then something MAGICAL happened…

He wanted me back EVEN MORE than before. He sent me flowers, offered to take me out to all kinds of dinners and events, called ALL THE TIME. Now he was the one obsessed!

I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but when you try to FORCE someone to do something, they’re more inclined to do the exact opposite of what you want them to do.

When you re-focus your attention on yourself and your goals and stop putting him on a pedestal, he will realize what he’s lost and pursue you with even more excitement than before.

I know this to be true, because it’s happened to me more times than I can even count.

Do you feel your guy pulling away?

He’s not texting you back?

He just broke up with you and feels like you aren’t the right woman for him?

Do you notice that when you start to really show interest in a guy, he starts to disappear?

If he is the right man for you, he will come back. If not, you’re better off to find a man that will truly love you.

This is one part of my free Get Your Man Back guide that will literally have him running back to you so quickly he won’t even realize what hit him.

He’ll be begging to be in a relationship with you again and feel really stupid for ever breaking up with you in the first place…

He’ll even start making wedding plans because he’ll see you as the ONLY woman for him.

In this guide you’ll learn:

  1. The number one emotion that re-ignites his desire for you.

P.S. I used these EXACT steps after my current man, Alan, broke up with me and I was making plans to move on and move out of our apartment together. Not only did we get back together, we have more passion & intimacy than before our breakup…and a couple weeks ago, we got married!
